What is the FSO?
- FSO stands for Family Support Organization
-
FSO was started in 1995 by families of children with special, mental health, and/or developmental needs
-
FSO workers are called Parent Partners
-
Parent Partners provide peer support to parents of children receiving CMO services
-
All Parent Partners have children with special, educational, mental health, judicial and/or developmental needs who have all been involved with CMO and Performcare
-
We support the families we engage using our life experiences and skills learned from parenting our children

What does a Parent Partner do?
Parent Partners review IEPs and 504s, provide support at school meetings and assist parents and families in understanding their child’s educational rights and how to advocate for them
- Community Resources & Supports
